The MDBOA is governed by an Executive Board of dedicated officials from the Miami-Dade County basketball community. Both on and off the court, these individuals represent true leaders in Miami-Dade County—they are attorneys, local government officials, controllers, career law enforcement officers and, of course, veteran basketball officials in South Florida and beyond. Together, they exercise legislative and policy-making authority for the MDBOA and establish and enforce all organization regulations, provided these regulations do not conflict with any rules, policies and procedures set forth by the 
Florida High School Athletics Association (FHSAA).
