As a governing organization, the MDBOA creates, trains and schedules all basketball officials for Miami-Dade County public and charter schools, as well as private high schools. Through our efforts to advance the sport, we pride ourselves on building a strong group of experienced officials who are actively involved in the South Florida basketball community. As part of our commitment to good sportsmanship, we operate according to a high standard of ethics, always ensuring fair play and understanding and maintaining positive relationships with coaches, players, athletic directors, fans and media representatives. We further develop our own community through regular meetings and enhanced trainings that highlight the philosophy, mechanics and rules associated with officiating middle and high school basketball in Miami-Dade County.
